YMC SS14 Show : London Menswear Collections.

photo 1YMC – Founded in 1995. A British brand that has evolved slowly and quietly into a significant label with a strong following of like minded people. They work as one of the main players in the idea of modernism in clothes design. Following no fads, fripperies or the fashion scene.

The new SS14 YMC collection is noted to use their signature of relaxed tailoring with an unmistakably playful edge. Using colour notes of deep indigo, lilac, sage green and pinks, whilst using materials such as embroidered linen, bonded cottons, quilted chambray and soft fleece.

I was invited along by the stylist (Mark Anthony Bradley) who put the shows looks together. This was after seeing him last week briefly at the ‘Jocks & Nerds’ summer issue launch party. ¬†Interestingly, where I had first met him on a shoot for the autumn issue a couple of months prior.

It was nice to watch the show and see the clothes up close. It made a change sitting on the white benches lining the walkway. As I’ve been working as a model at fashion week in Europe for a couple of years on the loop now. However, this something I’d to get into more. Some eye-catching pieces that I tried to capture as the higlights for me. A hooded cape, a Belstaffesque’ riding suit and a embroidered sage & cream suit.
