Newly opened in the hustle of the East-end of London sits Stick and Stones – manned and run by a guy called Tom O’Dell.
I was contacted by Tom to stock a range of the Scott Fraser Collection. After a few talks about the concept behind the store and his thoughts on menswear it was a match. The shop is twinned to another womenswear boutique called Luna &Curios (although separate of each-other) and sits opposite other like minded quality independent boutiques and cafes.
It’s plain to see when you walk into the humble white-washed shop that the products on show are not the usual labels you’ll come across in other clothing and lifestyle stores – and I’m not just being biased.
Carefully selected artisan rugs woven in Pimlico (London), Swedish pottery and tableware, British-made menswear and accessories are neatly offered up on bleached-out wood shelves and surfaces. The smell of all-natural mens grooming products and jarred candles scent the shop, but thankfully not in a Body Shop sort of way!
So if you’re in London, in the East-end and on Shoreditch high street – try popping off the beaten track, down Calvert Avenue where you’ll find Stick and Stones. You’ll get what I mean when you visit.
